This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love about my students is their love and excitement for learning! I teach 6th grade in a Title I elementary school with a 95% social disadvantaged population and 36% EL learners. Many of my students have unstable home lives and school is a safe place for them to learn and grow.
I want to encourage my student's creativity and critical thinking skills by giving them the opportunity to design and create 3D printed objects.
A 3D printer and filament will be purchased to allow my students the opportunity to engage in STEAM learning. They will use tinker cad to create their own designs, that will then be printed on the 3D printer. My hope is to inspire my students and foster their love of learning.
