Students at our school are motivated to succeed. I get to work with fascinating students throughout the day and after school. As a teacher in inclusive special education and regular education classrooms, I work with students who are highly academically gifted, and those who are gifted in other ways. Some of my students face behavioral, emotional, attention, and academic challenges. Success is defined differently by each of my students. However, I hope to help all of my students to grow into successful people.
My students are energetic and bright adolescents who benefit from opportunities to learn in a variety of ways.
They are empathetic to their peers and seek out ways to help our community. The students at our school inspire me to find the best opportunities for learning in order to help them succeed.
My students and I are so excited to get started with recording podcasts in our ELA classes. I recently earned a grant through which I was able to purchase one studio USB microphone. The students have been excitedly asking questions about when we get to start the project. Our podcasting projects will involve studying well-crafted podcasts, writing scripts, collaboratively integrating sound effects and music through editing, and publishing our work.
Podcasting will help to develop students' creativity, collaboration, and critical evaluation skills.
Having additional microphones will allow for more groups to record their projects simultaneously. All of my ELA courses have more than 30 students in them; therefore, having these high-quality Blue Yeti Nano USB Microphones will enable us to complete the recording stages of our project more efficiently. We appreciate your support in helping to make this project run more smoothly!
