Igniting a Passion for Reading: Books My Students Will Love
Help me give my students books. Imagine a classroom where every student is excited about reading, to pick up a book,-completely absorbed in the story. This is the power of providing students with books they want to read.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, curious, and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique experiences and perspectives. What unites them is their eagerness to learn and their incredible resilience. They bring so much energy and enthusiasm to our classroom, and I am constantly inspired by their creativity and their determination to overcome challenges.
However, many of my students lack access to books that reflect their interests and experiences.
Our classroom library is limited, and the books we have are often outdated or irrelevant to their lives. This lack of access can hinder their reading development and their overall academic growth.
