Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my special education students is their unique strengths and determination. Each student has their own way of learning, which makes teaching them both rewarding and exciting. The iPad, rolling iPad desk, iPad case, and iPad keyboard will help me support their learning in many ways. The iPad will allow me to have own personal iPad to access apps that cater to their individual learning styles, such as interactive tools for math, reading, and communication. I can use the rolling iPad desk to position the device for each student, making it easier for them to see and use when working one on one or in small groups when their iPad is not accessible, (damaged, left in class or not charged). The case will protect the iPad, ensuring it lasts through frequent use, and the keyboard will help students who struggle with typing or fine motor skills, allowing them to express themselves more easily. I will use these tools to offer more personalized learning experiences, allowing students to work closely with me and in a way that suits their abilities. My goal for this project is to have the same updated my students tools my students have and work along side them to become more independent learners and build confidence in their abilities. What makes my students special is their resilience, and these tools will help create a more engaging and supportive learning environment.
