it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In today's dynamic and diverse society, fostering entrepreneurship among Black and Latino students is a crucial step towards achieving true racial justice and representation. This project aims to provide essential materials for students to embark on their entrepreneurial journey, specifically in the realms of jewelry-making, soap crafting, embroidery, and candle making. By offering support in these areas, we empower students to overcome systemic barriers and actively contribute to economic diversity while addressing racial disparities.
Access to necessary supplies is fundamental to any entrepreneurial endeavor.
Your support will enable my Black and Latino students to delve into the realms of their creativity. From crafting intricate jewelry pieces to formulating unique soap blends, enhancing textiles with embroidery and creating captivating candles, these supplies such as a sewing and embroidery machine will serve as the essential building blocks for their entrepreneurial ventures.
Focusing on entrepreneurship in the jewelry, soap, and candle industries directly confronts the issue of underrepresentation in these creative sectors. Encouraging Black and Latino students to become entrepreneurs in these specific fields not only empowers them individually but also contributes to breaking down the barriers that have historically hindered their participation. This initiative aligns with the principles of racial justice by creating opportunities for marginalized communities to shape their economic destinies in unique and expressive businesses.
Representation matters, and when students from underrepresented backgrounds see successful entrepreneurs in these creative fields who share their experiences, it sends a powerful message that they too can overcome challenges and achieve success.
