Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school is commited to providing students with hands-on learning experiences that foster the IB principals sucha s curiosity, critical thinking and a sense of environmental stewardship. One of the most impactful ways we can achieve these goals is through the establishment of a school garden.

These materials in this grant will help us to start a school garden with healthy fruits and vegstables.

We are intergrating cross curricular ideals in science, techonology, and mathmatics through garden based learing projects.

Students will learn side by side with fellow students to cultivate a sense of ownership and responsibility planning, planting and maintaing our school garden.
