This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a passionate National Board Certified Education Specialist working in a high school setting. Our school is a Title I school serving a diverse population. The students I work with are determined and strive to persevere through social, emotional, and academic challenges. My Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class has worked on the yearbook staff, attended school activities, volunteered in the community, and served on the (ASB) Associated Student Body. They excel with movement and hands-on experiences. I am blessed to be their teacher and strive to encourage students beyond their greatest expectations.
As the year comes to an end, it's time to begin preparing for the 2025/26 school year.
These spelling, geography and writing workbooks will help my students build foundational skills that will prepare them for life after high school. Each skill taught, spelling, reading, writing and/or geography will help students practice and foster a sense of independence. These workbooks will lay the foundation, allowing students to compose their own cover letter or create a resume. The granola bars are the fuel that will light the fire, keeping students focused and ready to learn. Thank you for supporting students with unique needs. I am grateful.
