This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a school full of diverse learners who come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses in South Los Angeles. We are working hard to meet the needs of all our learners (many of which are English Language Learners) and ensure they are successful now and in the future.
My students are eager to learn and are striving to become leaders in their community.
Through hard work and dedication, they are becoming 21st century scholars who are prepared to face the ever changing world we live in.
My Project
The Apple device and accessory will allow me to create and deliver math lessons to my students during the pandemic.
During school closures, teachers need to be able to deliver seamless instruction to ensure a positive learning experience for students.
By connecting the iPad to my Mac, I will be able to use the iPad as a whiteboard during my ZOOM math lessons to ensure that students are able to see what I model for them. They will be able to see, participate and collaborate in the lesson in real time just as they would in the classroom.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
