Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most amazing kids I have had the pleasure to work with. They come to school with a positive attitude every day. They go above and beyond to better themselves and to show the world that they are capable of anything. I am extremely proud of all of my students and the effort they put into their academics.
My school is a Title I, at-risk school, with a population of over 70% of English Language Learners.
My students come from low income families, too. Families who work relentlessly day and night just to make it through the week. Due to the Coronavirus, many families have been left unemployed. This makes it hard for them to acquire the supplies needed for the upcoming school year. My students' academic success and safety are my priority. Therefore, I would be grateful to have 27 multipurpose plastic pencil boxes.
My Project
Each student will receive a multipurpose plastic pencil box to keep their materials organized inside their desks. The plastic pencil box will also assist in keeping my students from losing their materials. As the teacher, I would love to solve this problem by providing them with the materials needed myself. However, due to the Coronavirus, this year we are not able to share any materials in order to prevent cross contamination. That is why the plastic pencil boxes are essential. The pencil boxes are also made out of plastic, they can easily be wiped down with a disinfecting wipe. Being able to wipe down all of the pencil boxes is important because it will help maintain my students safe from germs in the classroom.
Since they are not able to share supplies due to the Coronavirus, this multipurpose plastic pencil box will help them always have the supplies they need.
Being prepared is the foundation of a great day of learning. The multipurpose plastic pencil boxes will be extremely helpful for all of my students. Your donation means everything to my students' families as well. They cannot replace lost items due to low funds at home. The plastic pencil box will help prevent my students from losing the rest of their materials. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project. Your donation is appreciated. You are helping 27 students succeed in their academics and stay safe during the reopening of the schools.
