This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Recently my students received 10 Chromebooks which we as a class are very excited about. However, we have been unable to use them because of lack of equipment. My students frequently ask about the Chromebooks and eagerly wait the day they can use them.
We are part of a school that continually strives to make learning fun, accessible to all students, and relevant.
As a school we look for ways to better enhance our teaching. My students are an energetic group. They love exploring and learning about the world around them. Most of our students come from high poverty where many do not have access to the Internet or technology for learning purposes.
My Project
Currently we have 10 brand new Chromebooks, but because my students are younger they have a difficult time controlling the mouse pad. In addition, our classroom space is not very big so its important that the noise level is controlled and while we have headphones ready to be used, we do not have adapters for the headphones. Once we have this in place, we will be ready go and explore the digital world!
Your donation will help us get the very last items we need for our technology center.
Once the technology center is up and going my students will be able to enhance their learning through the use of technology.
