My students, like many others, are beyond amazing. No matter what is going on their lives at home they enter our little room with happy hearts and are ready to learn. Our school is in Chapin, SC and we love school.
I have 25 students that love and need access to move to help optimize their daily performance.
Not all students are provided an opportunity for technology at home. Having these iPads will help them to use technology to learn instead of for entertainment. The students in my class each come from different backgrounds, but we all come together as one school in our fabulous fish class.
My Project
Our kindergartens are digital age active learners! We want technology to take an active role in their learning. Our vision is for our students to use technology to make choices, solve problems and show what they know. Having access to iPads in the classroom will give our students the opportunity to be empowered learners!
We would like to use iPads in our learning centers which will allow for personalized learning.
Every student has individual learning needs and having access to iPads will give our students the opportunity to focus on the skills they need as well as extend their learning.
Our students use Seesaw which allows students to document their learning through the use of photos, video, drawings and notes to create an ongoing learning journal. The iPads will allow students to quickly and effectively capture the work they are doing in the classroom. Parents can connect to their child’s learning journal and will get notifications in real time when work is posted.
Students will practice their problem solving skills by getting early exposure to coding. Students will also learn how to help take care of iPads, by using the iPads with the cases on them. The cases will help provide a barrier between student use and the iPad.
IPads will allow for many learning experiences for our students.
