Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Headphones for my ELL students will mean the world to them as well as me. I need my new English speakers to listen to English words and phrases without background noise and the uncomfortable moments they experience when everyone else is hearing what they are learning. The headphones will be stored in the storage bags so that they remain safe and germ free.

The children have an awesome response when something they use is just for them.

My ELL students just want to fit in with the other students. Owning what the other American students have is "cool" and they want to be cool. For many children who have immigrated to the USA this is an important tool to have. Headphones, that others may take for granted, is a wonderful gift that they should be able to have. I would love to give them this gift of headphones just to see their faces light up with joy.

We also need storage containers for the headphones to be placed into for safe keeping. Please support my effort in making my English language learner students feel cool like the rest of their peers.
