Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

3D printing has come alive in our school! Myself along with my co-worker have been working with our 5th Grade Dual- Language students to create 3D items for a 1st Grade Dual-Language Visually Impaired 1st Grade student! The work has been magical!

Our students have big dreams so we need this large 3D printer so we can print out these dreams!

Our students are hard working and so caring of others in the school. This year we have a student in 1st grade who can not see and only speaks Spanish. Our fifth graders have risen to the challenge and have been working on creating blocks with Braille and pictures on them for her to learn from. They have even created tiles with Braille for each letter and we have gone as far as taking some of our Computer Science material and creating it in 3D for this student, so while her classmates are on an iPad she can learn right along with them.

This 3D Printer would enable our students to create many items and wouldn't limit them to small items. Please give us the chance to Go Big this year!
