Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a first grade class with 22 eager to learn students. My students are always eager to learn and to explore new things .
My students approach life with the enthusiasm and curiosity that all six-year-old children seem to have in abundance.
They are incredibly hopeful and looking forward to the future. Their parents want the best education possible for them. I know because of the great communication that parents at our school have with the teachers. They have a never give up attitude towards any challenges they face.
My Project
My students will use the speaker to be able to better hear when ever I project something from my laptop onto my LCD projector. We currently have a small speaker that does not have capability to raise the volume and at times students can not hear. Students will enjoy this speaker when ever I am teaching them math. This year financial literacy is one of our top math concept that we need to address.
It is important that students see videos that will support their math skills in the area of financial literacy.
Many of my students are visual learners and showing them fun and engaging video about financial literacy will help to teach them these skills. Teaching them these skills introduce them to the skills of money and how to mange their money for savings, buying things, and figuring out which buying option is best. This speaker would be a great asset to our classroom learning environment.
