Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember back when you were 11 years old? Do you remember your 5th grade teacher? I sure don't! This is because that person probably never impacted my life...That teacher most likely never had an environment that addressed my needs, made me feel comfortable, motivated me, or took the time to make sure that I was having fun while learning.

This year, I have been given the opportunity to teach 16 very different 5th grade, gifted students.

These children all have different learning styles, different abilities, ​and different cultural backgrounds. Some are intrinsic motivators, while others are extrinsic. The one thing they all have in common is their willingness to learn, their desire to succeed, but most importantly, their hunger and eagerness for knowledge.

Their excitement for knowledge is contagious! They are not only inquirers, but they continuously rise up to any challenge that I give them. They are truly an amazing group of children!

My Project

My students all have different learning abilities. Having the option of flexible seating in the classroom will provide them with the opportunity to learn in their own personal way. When you provide a child with options, they feel comfortable, they feel as if they belong, this motivates them to succeed.

By providing them with the opportunity to choose their own learning environment, You are allowing them to develop their wings so they can soar!

Remember that these children are our future!!! Please help me help them be the best they can be by providing them with the opportunity to choose their flexible seating option.
