My Students
My students are naturally inquisitive, dedicated, and innovative. They come from families with diverse backgrounds and cultures. My students take pride in sharing their unique ideas to solve problems.
My students are ready for the next step to see their ideas come alive.
Having the resources to create a prototype will bring immense joy and excitement for my students. I wish to keep my students motivated and excited about the possibilities of pursuing a STEM career.
My Project
I am all set to be part of the IF/THEN Innovative Challenge! My project integrates research, technology, and creativity as students engage in purposeful STEM exploration and 21st-century skill development. Teens as Ashley Kimbel from the IF/THEN collection are sure to inspire my students to keep innovating to solve everyday problems. The contribution made by STEM innovator Sydney Hamilton will surely motivate kids to own their future. I will use the IF/THEN collection in my lesson plans to showcase women and girls who are forerunners and leaders in their community.
Ever-changing environments and human needs are the perfect reasons to keep developing new solutions.
I propose to challenge my students to develop a solution that will help a community member of their choice perform everyday chores with ease. This project will help my students understand the engineering design process.
IF the students at our school had a 3D printer and filament THEN the students would have supplies to see their creations come alive. Although all of our students will engage in this project, I hope that it will help encourage young women to enter the STEM field when they grow up and realize their potential!
