Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a very diverse group. They come from different backgrounds and beliefs. Some kids have access to technology and some don't have it at home. With the rise in technology knowledge for current jobs, all students need to know how to be tech-savvy. Our school has a diverse population, with ninety-five percent of students receiving free or reduced-price lunches. Many face challenges in and out of school and in their homes. A school is a place of refuge for some, and I want to provide ample opportunities to shine where they are in their development. As their teacher, I see a group of wonderful children full of energy and a willingness to jump in and try new things.
With Arizona being forty-ninth in state funding, it isn't easy to give all students what they need.
For our students to compete in the job market, they must be exposed to and solve problems.
My Project
Teachers are some of the best people who share ideas and knowledge. Being able to access and purchase some of the latest and greatest ideas of projects created by teachers can be helpful to the learning of my students.
Having a gift card to purchase teacher created material on teacherspayteachers will help me build my curriculum and enhance the projects that I have created over the years.
It is always great to see what ideas that other teachers have for teaching the same concept. With those ideas comes a cost and I would appreciate it greatly if you could help out with that so that I can give my students the very best of what is out there.
