Technology and young children in today's society should go hand in hand. Today's students are growing up in an ever changing world with technology at the forefront, which is why adding an iPad 2 to my classroom will be beneficial for my students.
I teach full day Kindergarten in a high poverty rural Oklahoma school.
Many of my children only experience current technology once a day, which is when they come to school. I strive to provide my class with unique and current learning opportunities such as the ones that the iPad 2 provides.
My Project
Adding an iPad 2 to our classroom would provide countless learning applications and opportunities to my young students lives. We will use the iPad and its technological capabilities to coincide with our reading and math curriculum. We will use the iPad at many different times of the day, including large group instruction, small group instruction, and centers. The different ways that we will use the iPad will vary greatly depending on the subject we are studying. The addition of this piece of equipment will provide my students with numerous opportunities to learn how to read and do math in a way that is up to date with current technology.
Giving to this project would mean so much to my young students.
