This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Dilworth Knights are a competitive group of young people who do their best to participate in sports and activities throughout the school year. We are a Title 1 school so access to year round sports and paying for uniforms and equipment is often a challenge.

My Project

These are some supplies that we are short on. Because of financial struggles of our families, I haven't asked for equipment fees for the last two years, which prevents us from buying basic supplies like ice packs and batteries that we use a fair amount of between P.E. and Athletics. We are in desperate need of new pinnies, or practice jerseys, as the ones we have are not in outstanding shape and we only have a handful of basketballs in good shape for the upcoming girls and boys basketball seasons. Exercise and team sports are crucial to the development of young people, whether it's in P.E. or in team sports, even more true in the times we are experiencing.
