Help me give my students an ice maker so that we can provide a quick and convenient resource for treating minor injuries, reducing swelling, and offering relief for students.
Our goal in the health office is to help students be healthy, safe and ready to learn. Our school population is approximately 1350 students and we see an average of 25-30 students per day.
Applying ice promptly after an injury can aid in minimizing tissue damage and promoting faster recovery.
Ice helps to alleviate pain and swelling. We go through A LOT of ice packs in a day and we do not have access to an icemaker. We want to treat what hurts and get the students back in the classroom ready to continue their education.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
