This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently teach 4th grade in a Dual Language ICT Classroom. In an Integrated Co-teaching class (ICT), students with disabilities learn alongside general ed students who don't have learning disabilities or special needs.
What happens in our classroom every day is determined by our instructional practice.
If you walk into our classroom you will experience whole group and small-group instruction, challenging and text-dependent questions that promote engaging and meaningful discussions, more non-fiction close readings, instructional scaffolding, and extensive writing opportunities.
My Project
The new iPads will bring the most modern, innovative technology to my students. My students will be able to use the iPads in all subject areas such as math, science, reading, writing, social studies, art, and more!
Critical thinking and high-paced, interactive learning is a valuable component in a fourth-grade classroom.
My first priority with the iPads would be to provide my students with high-quality apps that would engage their minds and motivate them to learn. I would like to use apps like EPIC, Starfall, iReady, and Kahoot with my class.
The iPads would be amazing for creating amazing projects and presentations. I would also like to use the iPads during center time. I would be able to differentiate my instruction for all of my students' academic levels and interests.
I am always looking for ways to grab my students' attention and get them hooked on learning. The iPads would help my English learners hear stories read to them and would also translate words/ideas they may not understand in English. Please help me provide my students with iPads!
