My Students

My students are funny and smart. My class is diverse, and there are many students whose first language is not English. They love exploring and being creative in their learning. Some of their favorite things to do are STEM activities and, of course, art. I have some of the most creative first graders! They also love being read to!

Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most important weapon which you can use to change the world."

In addition to teaching my students the core content, I am trying to teach them that education is powerful, that it will get them anywhere they want to go, and that it will help them to change the world.

My Project

We are in need of a new iPad to use during small group instruction. We use iPads and iPods occasionally during math and reading small group instruction. We need one more so that each student in the groups can have their own device to use. Students will use this device to practice math and reading skills. Students enjoy using the iPads and iPods because they are interactive and provide a fun learning experience. I enjoy this time because I know students are learning but are also having fun! Thank you for taking the time to read about our needs and for supporting our project.
