This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are full of life and diverse backgrounds. This will be my second year at this school. I have learned that these students are self-driven and determinants. They also have a strong opinion on the world and community. I am proud to join them in their educational journey.
My Project
Distance learning is new to me because for so many years I have grown as a teacher comfortable in the classroom and one on one with my students. During the pandemic shut down I found my selfs not being able to show very well what my students were actually suppose to be viewing because my school provided my students iPads. It’s crucial for me to display what they are suppose to view because it decreases uncertainty. I have realized that an iPad's point of view is different from my laptop view. With having an iPad available I will be able to show my students how to navigate through our learning platforms. For example, I can screen shot on the iPad and show my students what they should see and I can also project the iPad to our virtual classroom. I also request an apple pen because of the capability with the iPad. Student’s become more confident on knowing the objective if they can visually understand the task.
