iCan Use Technology in 2nd

My students need iPads, cases and audio jacks to listen to audio books, and access learning apps during literacy, math, and science.

My Students

My students are innovative and eager to learn. They are always eager to please their teachers but need more individual instruction. Teaching reading, writing, math, and science to the entire class of 24 students at one time does not meet the individual needs of each child. When taught in small groups of about five to six, the student is engaged in the material at their level or speed. While we are working in groups, the others are working on stations and centers practicing the skill. Having access to iPads will increase their learning while working more independently, as well as providing availability to current and relevant technology.

My Project

Technology in the classroom at an early age is essential to prepare students for global and real-world experience. Research shows that by integrating technology into different subjects, students are more interested and learn more in those subjects. Since textbooks are not used and technology is shared by K-12th grade at our school, my students will be able to access up-to-date information on the internet while learning important technology skills.

By using the iPad, a case and an audio splitter, students can work collaboratively and listen to audiobooks and access apps such as epic!, Quizlet, Kahoot, and MobyMax.

By implementing apps and games into the classroom, students will have access to more hands-on learning.
