Help me give my students a kidney-shaped table to create a functional, engaging learning environment!

My Students
My 5th grade students need a functional learning environment to benefit their instruction. I currently teach English Language Learners in two ELA and Social Studies classes. Many of my students come from very diverse cultural backgrounds.
In our classroom, we routinely work in small groups.
Students work together and collaborate on ideas to complete tasks across all subject areas. This is the time for students to receive individualized attention and to work closely with peers. In order for the small group work in my class to be most effective, we need a group work (kidney) table.
My Project
I have been gathering my small groups either on the floor in my meeting area or at a very tiny conference table. This is not optimal, as you can imagine. Having students sit and work on the floor does not allow them to focus the way that they should. A kidney-shaped table would be a dream for my small-group instruction. The benefit of this type of table is that the teacher is within an arm's reach of each student. Children are more focused when they are in close proximity of the teacher, and when children are focused, they are able to make greater strides in gaining the reading skills in which they are lacking.
When children feel closely connected to the teacher and to one another, they are more apt to stay engaged in the work at hand.
Working at this group table will allow the teacher to quickly scan each student's work and to provide immediate instruction.
