This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Joyn Toys Star Puzzle Connecting Pieces, Huaker Magnetic DIY STEM building blocks, Viahart Brain Flakes, and Magentic Tiles STEM toys I am requesting are small in size and helps students build hand strength by pushing the pieces together and pulling them apart. The act of gripping the pieces builds strength in their little hands. Holding the pieces then having to push the pieces together to get them to lock onto another piece also builds hand strength and hand-eye coordination.

Building hand strength with The Joyn Toys Star Puzzle Connecting Pieces, Huaker Magnetic DIY STEM building blocks, Viahart Brain Flakes, and Magentic Tiles STEM toys is fun and also necessary to allow students to have the hand strength to grip a pencil for 10-15 minutes to complete an assignment in their classroom, more than writing with a pencil this helps them hold onto tiny lab pieces in science classes, helps them manipulate hands-on math kits, tying their shoes needs strength and coordination, and manipulating their eating utensils.

Please help the children at my school gather tools that are fun and provide function by building their hand strength and coordination. Additionally, these games have no "one way" to build with them so it also sparks and engages their imaginations and creativity at the same time as building their hand strength.

At this school, 5.6% are white, 66% are Latino, 14% are Asian, 5% are African American, 8% are two or more races, and 76.6% come from low-income households.
