My students need a book stand to display popular books for each of the units.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Olson's classroom raised $226

My Students
Books upon, books, it can be difficult for some kids to find books to read. A book stand will allow students to have easy access for books on the unit that we are learning about.
My students are a group of diverse learners, both in ethnicity and skills.
Many of my students live in homeless shelters or live in a house that requires them to share a room with multiple people. School, is my students home. It is a stable environment that provides them with food and a community of people.
My Project
My students will use the book stand to showcase books from our genre reading unit, science, math and social studies unit read alouds. It will be a place for me to post classroom favorites so that the books are easy to access and are available to all kids.
In our classroom library, there are over 400 books, all labeled and leveled.
This can be overwhelming and frustrating when a student is looking for a class favorite to read. There are also so many, that students stick to the same books throughout the year, instead of exploring all of the books. This will allow the students to get to know the library by visually seeing the books in front of them and to get excited about the books in the library to read.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
