This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in an ESE classroom where my students range in variety from EBD, Autistic, ADHD and SLD.

This year I am trying to achieve motivation through a flexible setting.

I have the privilege of teaching reading and writing to 8th graders that go to a Title I school. Unfortunately, we do not have the privilege of having resource support. Literacy is important and I am looking to motivate their reading to in return increase their reading level.

In my class 100% of my students have an IEP and require additional support. Many of my students have developmental delays and sensory issues or have trouble with attention. My students also come to me with very different academic needs. I teach students who are severely below grade level.

My Project

My project is to create motivation in my classroom. Barely any of my students are on grade level. Kids are not reading. Kids need to read, read, read! My room is boring and not very engaging.

I would like to have a nice rug, flexible seating for students, and engaging content.

When asked to read or write my students blow me off. This furniture, decor and content will motivate my students to come in and want to read, write and collaborate successfully. Invest in my students by investing in my classroom here. Help me motivate to read for our future.
