This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In recent years I have seen an increase in student enrollment from countries and other places other than the United States and Mexico. This year I have students from Samoan/Tongan, Cambodian, and Central American backgrounds. How beautiful and diverse is this? Very beautiful, I say! This is why I am asking for a variety of books about these cultures.

My goal is for students to learn about their cultural differences, appreciate their differences, and respect those differences.

My students' differences are wonderful learning opportunities for this group of students to learn and appreciate each other.
