My Project

Growing up in the current world is much different for a child than it once was. It is so important for students to read about news and learn about children and events around the world! I want to give my students the opportunity to read news magazines that they can also take home and share with their families. Scholastic News is an incredible magazine that teaches children about history, science, the world and current events!

Students are able to read about children their own age who are making a difference in the world.

The students in my classroom are from so many different countries and cultures. It is important for them to learn about children different from them.

This classroom subscription contains printed and digital copies of each issue. Students are able to watch videos about content and view vocabulary. It's a fun way for children to build background knowledge on subjects with which they might not be familiar! They are able to listen to the stories read aloud and follow along with the text. This is especially important for struggling readers!

Please give my students the gift of learning about the world through this amazing magazine!
