My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the best class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a low-income/high poverty school district where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
We need privacy partitions in the classroom. Privacy partitions are simple cardboards partitions that give students their own personal space. During the week there are times when students just need to work alone without distractions.
Privacy partitions can be pulled out in seconds and set up around student work, computers, laptops, and tablets.
These partitions are easily stored because they fold up flat. Privacy partitions must be used during testing, but also can be used during any independent assignment.
We also need an abundance of colored construction paper to help make learning fun. Construction paper will be used to support writing and creating student made books.
