This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
"I Survived the Battle of Gettysburg" is an excellent book for students to learn about the Civil War because it offers an engaging narrative that puts historical events into a relatable context. Through the eyes of a young protagonist, readers experience the challenges, fears, and courage of those who lived during that tumultuous time.
The story humanizes history, making it more accessible and memorable for young readers.
It's an effective tool for sparking interest in the Civil War, promoting empathy, and encouraging further exploration of this critical period in American history.
