it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We, teachers, know that any academic standard proves challenging to master for many students in any good school year. My 6th-grade students are ready to learn, but their energy and focus need a little fine-tuning. Since most students don't have access to reliable STEM materials at home, their ability to enrich and strengthen their critical thinking skills at school is a cool way to learn!
My students will use the assortment of STEM materials to collaboratively plan, assemble, and present problem-solution physics labs with their respective lab groups.
Students will enrich their critical thinking skills offered via the STEM supplies of cups, scissors, tape, and balloons to create small STEM machines. The kids will develop better collaborative teamwork and hand-to-eye coordination when they complete construction building labs that will use toothpicks, marshmallows, and cotton balls. These STEM activities will foster problem-solution
agility goals with their respective teammates. Ultimately, empowering students to be better scientists with critical thinking skills is a win-win solution for all students in the classroom.
