This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am working hard to assist my students to independently find books in the library. They are really showing an interest in finding books in the library computer database. When they try to use this information to find the books on the shelves, they get lost. These Alphabet Dividers will guide them to find the correct section of shelving.

My students love the library and I want them to understand how the books are organized.

This is learning that will carry on through middle school, high school and into adulthood. This knowledge should start when they are young so they can progress to independence!
