My Students

I have 14 students, several who are working to achieve their Alternative Academic Diploma. My students have varying abilities and learning disabilities and I believe with the right tools, equipment, and support, my team and I can set them up for success. I am teaching US History and Biology this year and have noticed our traditional classrooms have access to greater technology than our CDC classrooms. I am starting this project to bring more science models and microscopes to our classroom so that our students can participate in more hands on science learning.

My Project

This project is a request for microscopes and slides to help further our students understanding of cells and their functions. Many of our science concepts are abstract without hands-on materials such as these and when working with students who have varied learning needs, the more concrete access to information, the better! Our CDC classes do not have their own microscopes and slide sets, yet these items would benefit our students greatly and allow for the connection of the concept to real-world scenarios. Your help is greatly appreciated and needed!
