My Project
I love the eclectic group of students that I am lucky enough to work with in my school. My students come from so many different backgrounds, in so many different towns, and bring so many different cultures with them.
I see my students, and I want them to know that they are seen.
These decorative wall-hangings, from the Radical Tea Towel company, will help beautify and personalize our classroom, will serve as a visual notice to my students that they are seen. When we read articles and essay prompts that make reference to these famous ideas, events and people, now I can point to the Radical Tea Towels and use them as a visual connection in our lessons. When my students walk into or past my classroom and can make a connection with these ideas, events and people, they will know that they are entering a safe space where they are seen as individuals with unique backgrounds. Please help me decorate our classroom so that my students are more culturally comfortable.
