When students see that we care enough to make the classroom inviting, they will begin to understand that they are important individuals who deserve better than they've been getting. Students have already been expelled. Oftentimes to them, this translates into "I'm not worthy of anything good." By decorating our classroom and making it an inviting space where students want to return to every day, I plan to show them that they ARE worthy of good things, including supplies, a quality education, and a beautiful space to work in. Himalayan Salt Lamps will help create a soothing environment for my students so that they can focus on learning. In one study, "kids having ADHD symptoms have shown that after only one week of exposure to crystal salt lamps, their symptoms subsided."
