I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!
Help me give my students , ice cream parlor materials such as early math games, pretend ice cream, and dessert toppings to foster creativity to spark their imagination while learning about financial literacy through play-based learning.

My students come to school every day eager to explore their environment through hands-on learning.
I teach an Early Childhood Special Education class consisting of five students who are 4 to 6 years old. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have varied needs. Our school consists of 700+ students with more than 40% receiving free or reduced-price school lunch. We are located in Louisiana, nestled on the northshore of New Orleans.
My Project
My students will shop in a mock ice cream parlor incorporating early learning math games and financial literacy activities. These materials in a dramatic play center allow students to learn about money and participate in imaginative play while serving ice cream to their classmates. These materials will allow my students to start comprehending how adults utilize money in everyday life.

Young minds need novel and engaging ways to learn financial literacy and the mock ice cream parlor materials combined with early math games will make that possible.
