My Project

Our scholars are driven to succeed. I want to motivate them to continue being successful by offering reward bags each time they complete and pass 25 i-Ready Math lessons. The i-Ready Math Metals and Gems project has been a success for the past two years and we want to continue the tradition.

i-Ready Math, a valuable resource used for enrichment and intervenion in grades K-5, has played a significant role in supporting our improved test scores and I would like to continue encouraging and motivating our scholars to strengthen their math skills by providing reward bags each time a scholar reaches a milestone of 25 lessons.

Scholars reach the first milestone once they complete and pass 25 math lessons. The various math metals and gems continue to 150 lessons by the end of the school year. Grades K-2 do not have deadlines and are able to achieve their milestones anytime during the school year. However, our scholars in grades 3-5 have access to individual computers and are given deadlines for each milestone.

This program has been a success for the last two years. Scholars are excited to receive their reward bags in the presence of their teachers and peers. They also get their names posted under the milestone they have achieved. The most exciting buy-in for the scholars is that they know they will receive a new reward bag once they reach the next level. The lessons increase as well as the size of the reward bags. Scholars are invested to pass more lessons knowing they will be rewarded for their hard work. Math skills continue to improve and our math test scores continue to rise!
