My Kindergarten class is made up of 19 five and six year-olds. They are a busy, inquisitive, determined group of students. They are always ready to learn and enjoy creating, exploring, and investigating.
My students are learning many life skills.
They are learning how to use their words to express their feelings and learning to listen to the thoughts of others. They are learning how to recognize acts of kindness from others and demonstrate kindness themselves. They are learning how to take care of their needs, as well as recognize when they can help others.
My Project
In my Kindergarten classroom, we use iPads for many, many reasons. The students use the iPads for educational learning apps, Osmo games, taking pictures of work they have completed, and for noise management. Soon we will use the iPads for live-streaming our baby chicks hatching. Unfortunately, with 19 students and only 5 iPads, we are unable to take full advantage of the opportunities available with I-pads. We are looking forward to having more I-pads and more learning through technology. We will use the I-pads for Osmo games, coding games, learning and assessment apps, documenting learning and accomplishments, and so much more!
