Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have had some of the most amazing students. Even though they may face difficult challenges outside of school, they are very anxious and eager to learn. They come in excited to learn math and never want to leave. We are building Mathematicians every day in my class!

Our days involve lots of learning and TONS of laughing and fun.

There are so many exciting and fun moments in our class. It'd make you wish you could be apart of it!

My Project

The Get Your Teach On Conference in Dallas, TX this summer is an excellent opportunity for me to learn about research-based strategies to help make my lessons more engaging and to keep my students engaged and enthused as they are learning important content.

Students today have such short attention spans and are easily distracted, so it is really important that I have engaging activities and Get Your Teach On will definitely help with that.

This conference will not only help with engagement strategies, but I will also learn how to create lessons that are engaging and exciting for my students. I will gain so much knowledge that I will be able to take back to my classroom to share with my students as well as my colleagues!
