This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Small group instruction is very powerful! Working in a small group is good quality teaching time.
I have a wonderful group of third graders.
They are hard working and are excited to learn something new. I teach in an inner city public school in South Los Angeles. It is a Title I school, which means the majority of students are from low-income families.
My Project
I am requesting a kidney table that will help and support my students quality learning time. A kidney table will help me teach in small group. My students are grouped according to their needs. I have a color system, for example my yellow and orange group need support with regrouping skills, my purple and red group are working with multiplication and division, blue and green are working on attacking word problems. If I had a kidney table I can call on any group to the kidney table and we can work on those skills that they need.
The kidney table will also be used for universal access during workshop time. It will be easy for me to call on students that need extra support in language arts such as phonics, fluency, and writing. Working in small group is very important for my students because my students have different needs and they learn in different ways. I truly believe that small group instruction is powerful.
This kidney table will support my students learning through universal access.
Thank you for your support and dedication to the education of my students. Your kindness will impact my students education.
