My Project
Kindergartners should be writing, and I want to have a variety of supplies to facilitate that skill. It is important to provide a plethora of writing resources for for my students. These jumbo pencils, pens, crayons, and other supplies will allow me to have a writing center with different kinds of paper and writing implements. This makes writing more fun!
Writing with children provides opportunities to develop children's emergent literacy capacities including making meaning and expressing ideas in text.
It also strengthens their fine motor skills, concepts of print, phonological awareness, phonics, and creating and exploring texts.
