I need The Teaching Reading Sourcebook, the Orton Gillingham Volume 2 Word List Dictionary, and the Recipe for Reading Volume 1 Workbook, so that I can add to my learning with Orton Gillingham and Literacy.
I am a reading teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little eyes. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students are sweet little students who just love to learn. They are kind, friendly, and very motivated. They appreciate the littlest things and take good care of their learning materials.
My Project
I have a the best job in the world! I get to help students learn to read! I work with many students who struggle with reading, dyslexia and possible learning disabilities. Some of my students are just a little behind and need a nice boost, and have worked with students who are up to 5 grade levels behind their peers.
I love working with every single student so much, and they are ALL making progress toward their goal of being able to read well.
Helping them to develop a love of reading is my passion! I am requesting the Teaching Reading Sourcebook, the Orton Gillingham Volume 2 Word List Dictionary, and the Recipe for Reading Volume 1 Workbook, so that I can add to my learning with Orton Gillingham and Literacy. The Teaching Reading Sourcebook is chuck full of reading research, strategies, charts and graphs, and very current information that will help me to be the best reading teacher possible. The Orton Gillingham Volume 2 World List Dictionary gives me tons and tons of word list that I can use to plan my lessons about syllable division. Working with syllable division really helps my upper level students to decipher the reading process and the big intimidating words. The Recipe for Reading Volume 1 Workbook will also help me to plan my lessons. This book will help me to plan my lessons for the youngest students who are just beginning to read.
All three of these books will help me to be the best literacy teacher that I can be. Thank you so much for your support!
