This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We need books! Classrooms do not come with classroom libraries, but these are essential parts of the classroom. Classroom libraries allow children choice in reading and opportunities to learn how to read at one level and move on to harder levels as they develop new reading skills. We need books for our classroom library that will help us have what we need during independent reading time, and center time. These books provide opportunities for students to read in ways that they do not usually get at home or from public libraries. These books will help support the lowest learners to the highest readers in my class and be such a support to me as I use them to teach reading. These selections of books also let readers learn more about the subjects we are reading in the classroom, and empower them to look for more information.

The TPT card will be used to buy inventor cards for students to create and add their inventions.
