This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are full of life and energy!! They come into class ready to go and keep going all day long. I want to get each and every student to focus on our lessons. This is easier said than done for some.
I have a class of 22 active kids who come from all walks of life.
I have students from all over the world and they each have amazing talents and ideas that they bring to our classroom. Our school is in a small rural beach community which makes our community very unique.
My Project
In today's fast paced society and technological age students are exposed to so much, so quickly. My students over the years are changing as well in the fact that they have a hard time sitting still and concentrating. They constantly need to be moving and doing something. By having Bouncy Bands on each of our chairs they can swing their feet and bounce quietly while they are working. They can get their wiggles out and still be working.
Having a class set of Bouncy Bands will enable all of my students to move without disrupting the rest of the class.
Students can also learn to sit longer instead of finding excuses to get out of their seats during instructional time. I think they will add a little more fun in an easy way. I'd say that's a Win-Win situation!
