Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very curious, funny, they are charming. Each one with their own personality, I see them every day forming and acquiring their own identity. In their own way, at their young age, they show me what they like, what they enjoy, what they are most interested in learning. My students love to investigate why things happen, for example, if they are mixing colors they want to know why the color turns to another one. This is one of many years that I have been a teacher and it is great.

Every new school year you think that you will not love your children as much as the previous year, and I have learned wonderfully that they are all special and unique and they steal my heart.

"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid",A. Einstein. With this phrase by Einstein what I want to refer to is that all my students are intelligent and have their own intelligence. I am convinced that intelligence, like beauty, has multiple facets, different nuances.

My Project

We all learn through our senses. Our senses is not only observing as students could do it learning at home. They also need touch, experiment, feel the material, feel on their hands the texture.

I would like to get the boxes and separate materials for each student.

My desire is they have blocks to build and to count, and make comparisons, paint their own pictures using self expression, to feel the texture and temperature of paint. I also would like to initiate them as investigators and use the magnifier glasses to observe/investigate. To feel on their hands the sand, to observe it as they achieve to make connections between the real life and what they are learning at school, home school.
