My Project

This book will not only help introduce Socrates to a new generation of students, it will also introduce them to the society Socrates lived in. It will meet 11 of the 21 Ohio teaching standards for 7th grade Social Studies! Students will dress up in togas and engage in Socratic Seminars to discuss Socrates! I will also host 2 zoom meetings a week to support student reading and analysis of the book.

This was the Best 2022 Kirkus Reviewed Nonfiction book.

I teach Gifted and Talented students which is a unique population of students.These kids are deep thinking, creative and high achieving. They are neurodivergent and superior cognitive in their thinking. In addition they need to develop a solid understanding of the legacy of democracy our country has looked to as a model and what happens when we stop questioning authority.
