Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
What do you think? Every student has their own opinion and now they will have a way to express them.
The majority of my students come from low income families and many of them are English language learners.
The school library is one of the few places that they have access to the materials that they need to enhance their education. We work hard to make sure that we have the needed materials that will help them succeed in their educational journey.
My Project
My students need books. The first grade students will use these story books to open a dialog about what they think that the right choice would be and why. These books will enable the students to think things through before they begin writing their responses to the stories they hear.
These story books will help to open up a dialog between the students that will enable them to express their own opinions in writing which will increase their understanding of the written word.
