This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am so excited by the possibility of having my 6th grade students write their own Math book! We will read exciting and funny Math children's books and model our book ideas from those we've enjoyed the most.
To support literacy in Math, we are going to embark upon our own book writing adventure to empower students on the importance of Math in the real world.
This confidence building long term project will help with the writing process, creativity, and focus on varied, student chosen Math topics.
My amazing special education students will read their books to elementary school students as a final presentation and class trip!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
